The town of Dunajská Streda offers a wide range of tourist attractions. You will be certainly charmed by the cultural heritage of this town such as the Roman Catholic St. George Church, evangelic church built in a simple neo-Romanesque style or the town city hall in the Main Street. You can also visit the Žitný ostrov (Rye Island) museum situated in the building of the Yellow Manor House or visit the exhibitions in the Gallery of Contemporary Hungarian Artists in the Vermeš villa.
There are other interesting places in close vicinity such as the watermill in Tomášikovo or watermill in Dunajský Klátov with a permanent exposition of watermills. Boating or walking along the Danube River banks guarantees pleasant leisure time as well.

THERMALPARK Dunajská Streda belongs to the most favourite and most frequently visited recreation resorts on the Žitný ostrov (Rye Island). There are ten pools (four indoor and six outdoor) with mineralised healing and thermal water with temperature from 24 to 40 °C. Mineral water is suitable not only for swimming but it also has beneficial effects on locomotive system diseases.
Indoor wellness centre offers special water attractors to its visitors in any weather. The sauna world with three types of saunas (Finnish sauna, steam room and infrared sauna) is a guarantee of rest and relaxation.

The Gabčíkovo hydroelectric power station was constructed in the late eighties of 20th century and it was put into operation in 1992. If you visit the hydroelectric power station, you will also have the opportunity to look at the lock chambers and the filling up of the chambers which takes approximately 20 minutes and you can observe it from the bridge. You can brighten up your trip with the Danube River cruise, visit of the Danubiana Museum or the Čunovo water sports resort.

SLOVAKIA RING, a professional and versatile motor sports complex is located in Orechová Potôň. In addition to top notch motor sports, SLOVAKIA RING gives clients the unique opportunity to hone their driving skills, experience the rush of speeding down the track and perfect their techniques. The complex meets the criteria for organising and hosting major international motor sports events. It has become the site for global motor sports events on an annual basis including: FIA WTCC, FIA GT Series, ADAC GT Masters, the Grand Prix of Slovakia for road cars and the Alpe Adria Championship.

In the zoo Malkia Park you can find a lot of interesting and rare animal species and it is a fun place for the whole family. The primary goal of the Malkia Park is to rescue the animals from circuses. The Malkia Park is located near the village of Orechová Potôň near Slovakia Ring.

Slovakia’s capital is only 50 km distant from the town of Dunajská Streda. Bratislava is Slovakia’s cultural centre with numerous museums, galleries, theatres, scientific and educational institutions. Historic centre, Bratislava Castle, Michael’s Gate, Grassalkovich Palace, Danube, bridges, shopping malls – a trip to Bratislava offers a lot of fun for tourists of all ages. The tourists can also enjoy the ride on the sightseeing vehicle called “Prešporáčik” which drives through the streets of the historical centre of Bratislava.

The town of Šamorín will charm you with its rich history and lovely monuments such as the renaissance building of the town hall, Roman Catholic church and monastery, synagogue or evangelic church. The exhibition in the local house of national history represents the Šamorín traditions and tools of local crafts. If you prefer sports, you may want to visit the resort of sports and leisure in Šamorín: X-bionic® sphere. An international Danube cycling track is situated on the periphery of the town at the Hrušov canal pound causeway.
